What is Reiki?

Reiki is an energy healing technique, using the hands as a conduit to deliver energy. Reiki has been practiced for about 2,500 years, and the most current form of Reiki was developed by Mikao Usui in 1922. The term, "Reiki", refers to the universal life force energy that flows through all living things. Reiki at its core is energy healing, and helps people become balanced emotionally, mentally, physically and spiritually.

What is Reiki used for?

It can be used as complementary alternative therapy to conventional treatment, including in hospitals, and benefits conditions such as cancer, cancer-related fatigue, heart disease, chronic pain, depression, anxiety, autism, infertility, infections, digestive issues, among other conditions, including severe cases of overall poor health.

But Reiki isn’t only for health & wellness; it can also be applied to struggles in grief and loss, divorce, career, a break up and family disputes.

When someone is ill, they are generally supported in various ways including prayer, delivering cooked meals, providing rides to medical appointments etc. When we want to help a loved one who is experiencing health challenges, especially if in a different location, we can turn to sending healing, positive energy through imagery which can make this process more powerful.

More and more, Reiki, prayer and meditation are being researched and showing measurable effects.

What are Reiki portrait paintings?

I provide a service of commissioned paintings with healing intention. These paintings are unique in that while they're being created, the person in mind is being sent positive, healing energy as if the desire has already happened, while with each stroke, that energy is infused into the painting.

I prepare to work by getting into a reflective, receptive state with meditation and use visualization, affirmations, and an om bowl as I paint.

When you receive the painting, it should be placed where it is seen often and for most of the day. Each time it is viewed, the power of the painting is amplified, as it’s an anchor point to remind you of what it is you wish for.

Reiki portrait paintings are tools for visualization, energetic protection and to increase the chances of your desired outcome, made specifically for you.
