Here's some information to help you know how to go about commissioning your painting. If you have further questions, do contact me. 

The estimate

The price is based on numerous factors, including the canvas size, complexity and detail of the image, number of subjects, whether it's people, pets, objects, if it's a head study vs full figure portrait and the date needed. 

The estimate does not include sales tax or shipping (shipping is based on the information you've provided).

Since the work required to prepare and start on a painting takes time and materials, the payments are non-refundable.

Receive progress shots

You will receive a minimum of 2 updates via email as I work on your artwork to ensure you're satisfied with the final version. Please check your email regularly and get back to me with feedback and respond within 24 hours.

Unless you reach out about changing the direction, I will continue with the work, so that I can complete your painting by the timeline that we have agreed upon. I will do my best to finish the artwork and we need to work together in order for this to happen. 

Your feedback is key for me to create something to satisfy your needs, so I'm happy to make adjustments along the way. If significant changes are made, for example, adding additional people or subjects; a change of color direction; a change in size of canvas, then the estimate will need to be amended.

Please indicate you understand that once we agree on the details, a 50% payment is required, and I'll begin working on your painting. The deposit payment indicates acceptance of the terms. 

Turnaround time

To ensure you receive your Reiki painting on-time, please contact me 4 - 6 weeks in advance of the desired completion date, allowing for more time around the holidays. If you are looking to get a custom painting done as a rush, please inquire. I'll do my best to work with you.

Shipping

When the painting is complete and you approve the final version, I will send you an invoice and details about shipping. Once I receive payment, the painting will be shipped out with tracking. 

Copyright

I retain copyright to all images. If you would like to reproduce the image on scarves, mugs, shirts, etc., a licensing contract and additional payment is required. Posting social media is welcome and encouraged as long as you tag @carolinevuart.
